The Human Design System is the first step in assessing your partner, child, employee, customer, or client. Encompassing all of the thought systems and life purpose models, Human Design is the most comprehensive assessment tool in today’s modern self-awareness landscape.
Fitting a square peg in a round hole does not work.
You may have hired someone to build your product, be it a software or manufactured product, yet they may be better suited in an advisory role, instructing and overseeing others vs building a product from start to finish.
You may be frustrated with a partner or child because they just don’t seem to have the ‘getty up’ energy that you do, deeming them lazy and lacking responsibility because they do not keep pace with you.
Maybe you’re frustrated with a friend or coworker because they seem to overanalyze things or provide too many details that are not interesting to you. You wish they would just give you the big picture and make a decision NOW.
When we are pushed or we are pushing someone to be something that is not in integrity with their design, we will experience frustration, bitterness, dissatisfaction, disappointment, unfulfillment, burnout, and/or anger. In this event, we are unable to establish a connection…and compassion is lost in a void. The lack of understanding leaves both parties at a loss. Having the knowledge and insight into how your counterpart ticks, is a level of intel that equips you with the know-how to navigate those unchartered waters. In other words, how to best utilize the skills and talents that are uniquely coded into their design and which energy centers power and motivate their choices, behaviors, and personalities.
Would you push a child into your agenda if you knew with absolute certainty that you were harming or conditioning them for trouble because your strictly held beliefs and expectations might be a detriment to their natural abilities?
Knowing your ENERGY TYPE is crucial to managing your energetic output; and what you say ‘YES’ to.
Some humans are designed to be idea people, some humans are designed to execute those ideas, having the energy to sustain a project from start to finish. Some humans are designed to reflect the energy of everyone they meet, becoming a mirror, like our moon is to the sun. Other humans serve as advisors, with wisdom and a precise eye that can save you time, money, and headaches, but they may be underutilized or overextended because they are in a role that pushes them to be something they are not.
Some humans innately prefer to learn on their own account versus listening to the experiences of others. We may call this person stubborn, but they may have a 1 or 3 in their profile causing them to investigate or ‘try it before they buy it’ approach. They want to experience for themselves, through trial and error, to attain their truth and wisdom in real-time…versus taking another’s word for it.
How many of us are burnt out and bitter because we are not seen and appreciated? ✋🏻✋🏼✋✋🏾✋🏿
Your ENERGY TYPE is dependent on the active power centers inside of you.
We all desire to be seen and acknowledged for our gifts, unique perspectives, and talents. When we are pushed to be something we are not; making choices because we ‘have to’ in order to fit inside our world model, our environment, our culture, our family’s traditions and expectation, we are left unfulfilled, unappreciated, unseen, and unhealed. This epidemic creates an imbalanced human system because the harmony of roles, gifts, and power is misused.
Think of it like this. A machine has power centers. There is always a triggering element that instructs those power centers. Then, there are mechanics that keep the machine in motion. And, sensors that alert when a replacement part or maintenance of the machine is required. Similarly, the Human Design system has Manifestors who inform Generators as to what to build. Generators build and keep the machine going. Then, there are Projectors or advisors who make sure that the machine is running smoothly and efficiently. Reflectors alert you that there is a piece that needs replacing because they are witnessing all of the parts functioning together. Knowing what energy type you are is crucial to managing your part effectively. When all parts are functioning harmoniously, you have a well-oiled machine.
Physical pain is a signal that we are not living in accordance with our human design. Houston, we have a problem.
When we are following our human design, we are instructed as to when and how we make optimal decisions. For example, some humans can act immediately upon getting an intuitive hit or listening to their gut, whereas other humans make the best choices when they ride out their emotional wave to find a balanced clarity. Most of us aim to make choices from a place of truth and most of us desire to speak our truth. Yet, sometimes we confuse our inner truth with groupthink or external expectations and collective truths, which may conflict with our inner voice. Within, we have various voices that speak to us, sometimes spinning us into spiraling thoughts and feelings. When we are misunderstood and misused for extended periods of time, pain develops in our emotional and physical bodies, and in our relationships.
Pain is always a signal that something is off. For instance, if you find yourself with pain in your throat, you might find that your communication center is a place to reflect, “Is this my place to speak” or “Am I holding back my truth?” Or, you might be experiencing chronic lower back pain because you’re overexerting a drive to perform or to impress a boss, colleague, or family member. If you do not have a defined root center to support that required drive, you may put your body through stress that you are not equipped to handle by trying to survive. For you, your ambition and passion may be fueled by another type of intelligence. Scientists understand that intelligence lies all throughout the body, in the heart, nervous system, adrenals, immune system, etc.
It’s critical to know your power centers and to utilize the active gates and channels within you.

We host Energy Centers in our body that energetically power our organs and systems, and link us to the non-material world (spirit, consciousness, quantum field, matrix, God). These energy centers, called the Chakras, are modules that contain the spiritual laws that we are here to learn and master. We each hold unique patterns of defined and open centers, where we are projecting truth and certainty, or reflecting and receiving new ideas and perceptions into our reality.
Having this knowledge for yourself is a beginning step to determining how your energy centers are powered, and when to activate choices based on your input of external data. At the base level, this is critical information to have in your approach to life purpose, passion, and work choice. Otherwise, you may spend many years in trial and error, exploring options that are NOT you to learn what IS you.

OK, Let’s get into the Human Design specifics…🧬
The Human Design system reveals our leading attributes in what are called Gates. These 64 gates are proven to directly link with the 64 codons in the DNA. Adding more refinement and precision, each gate is further influenced by three factors: the conscious and unconscious ‘mind’, the planets and nodes, and the six lines. There are nearly 10,000 potential variations in which we activate these gates, boiled down into 12 archetypal patterns called Profiles.
Our Profile is determined by patterns emerging from our ruling gate of expression in the conscious and unconscious mind further determined by lines, or levels of consciousness. Think of your profile as the Character you play on life’s stage, just as an actor is cast to play a role, be it tv, film, or theatre. Yet the nuances they bring to that role will vary based on their acting skill, depth of study, character development, emotions, creative choices, worldview, environment, etc. Our Profile expresses our character, whereby our gates express the drivers, motivators, and attributes that inform our behaviors and personalities.

Electromagnetic Connections are Chemistry⚡️
The Human Design system shows us where we sync up with others…visually and with intricate detail that offers a delightful complexity that requires understanding and study. We ‘hook’ in with others’ energy via various Energy Centers and Channels, i.e. attributes, causing electric compatibility or combustion. Have you met someone and felt instant chemistry, getting an immediate hit that you’ll be instant friends, companions, or business partners? Our human design reveals these select channels that harmoniously link us, equipping us with a natural ability to energize and perpetuate a creative process and/or evolution, be it a professional or personal one. For example, you may connect through a concentration, connection, or power channel. Or, you may be perfect partners to bring a humanitarian solution to shift a worldview. With each electromagnetic channel that ‘activates’ potentials and traits, we’re able to see where we can pursue efforts, know areas of strengths, or be discerning about a natural inclination or attribute that may serve you depending on your use, misuse, or overuse of that personal ‘power.’💥

Each of us is uniquely designed
We must learn and honor our design, as our design impacts our reality and our reality impacts our design. Are we utilizing and optimizing our design with integrity? Or, are we trying to fit into a mold of expectation or succumbing to the Not-Self (Human Design term)? We can decrease discrimination and separation if we understand and honor our unique designs. Most conflict is easily dissolved when we understand another’s perspective because we can have compassion for that which we understand. We can relate to another’s perspective when we understand the elements of their story and the lens through which they filter information.
We each have a unique story; a unique view and varying sequences of experiences that make up that story. Each perspective is valid, each extraordinary, each powerful, each influential. We are extraordinary, powerful, and divinely created individuals. It’s what we choose to do with our power that determines our path, purpose, and potential.
We are all special and unique. No one is more or less special than the other.

The Human Design System was created by Robert Krakower who published a book called The Human Design System under the pseudonym Ra Uru Hu in 1992. You can easily read more about Human Design through a simple Google search. Each practitioner brings their own experiences and knowledge of the material just as a consultant or advisor interprets the data and connects it to their audience.
